Every night as Matt tucks Ella in she asks, "Are you staying home today Dad?" (She is either confused about the meaning of today vs. tomorrow, or she considers the sun setting as the beginning of a new day, sort of like how the Jewish Sabbath begins at sundown...or something like that.) I think that from now on, Matt is going to have to tell her a little white lie on Friday nights because after sleeping in well past 7am for the past several days (dark and rainy weather does have a few benefits), Ella bounded into our room just after 6 this morning because she was so excited that Daddy would be home to play with her all day long. Her love for her dad is sweet, but exhausting.
