This year I am a room mom for Ella's class. I thrive on coordinating the snack calendar and arranging field trip chaperones. But figuring out what to do for teacher Christmas gifts has had me in a cold sweat.
Our class finally decided on cookie platters. Each child contributed home-baked cookies along with a recipe, and I created a Christmas cookie recipe "book" for each teacher. With the help of a classmate's photographer mom, we are also giving each teacher a framed photo of the class.
All day today I collected cookies, carefully arranged them on the platters, wrapped them up, put extra cookies in boxes, printed out and put together the recipe books, and tonight the gifts are finally done and ready to be presented to Ella's teachers tomorrow morning. And now I feel a disproportionate amount of relief!
