I thought we were going to skip gingerbread houses this year. But almost every day this month Claire has exclaimed in a near panic, "Mom! We have to do the gingerbread houses before Christmas!" And finally today I realized that of course, we have to do the gingerbread houses. Even if we don't make the big, elaborate house we normally do. Thanks for reminding me how important this tradition is, Claire.
