I am generally not a starstruck kind of person (we're just going to pretend that poster of Brad Pitt from Legends of the Fall hanging on my bedroom wall in high school never happened). I appreciate a good celebrity sighting as much as the next person, but don't really go out of my way to have up close and personal encounters with them. But I am really interested in politics. And having an opportunity to meet a former President of the United States is not something that happens every day.
So when I found out that Bill Clinton was coming to do a book signing at the little bookstore just minutes from my house, I knew I had to go. And even though I had to buy a voucher ahead of time, park in the middle of nowhere, stand in a really long line with Lucy and Claire, and worst of all couldn't even bring a camera inside, it was a really cool experience. Claire even got to shake his hand too, although she was much more thrilled to get a button (promoting his book) to add to her collection of prized possessions.
